With activities in art, dance, theatre, museums and libraries, 2007 continues to be full of creative ideas. From the stage adaptation of the Booker Prize winning novel the Life of Pi at the Lighthouse, Poole, or the chance for families to create their own contemporary art at the Study Gallery of Modern Art, to World Book Day in local libraries, there will be a whole range of activities for families this spring.
Family Friendly Dorset is an initiative involving 15 of the key cultural organisations from across the county, designed to encourage family participation in the arts. Partner organisations include the Lighthouse, Poole, Bridport Arts Centre and Dorset County Museum but all 15 are committed to provide an entertaining and educational experience for families in the county, both residents and those visiting.
Via our regular newsletters, website and free mailing list, Family Friendly Dorset is a vital tool whereby parents and carers can find out about cultural events and activities taking place in their local area and across the county. Parents can be assured that the events are not only fun and engaging but that the partner venues endeavour to welcome families of all age and sizes.
