A large sandy beach backed by sand dunes. Clean and safe with lifeguards patrolling in the summer months. A stream runs through the beach to the sea and there are caves nearby to explore. A perfect place for all the family.

Over 1km in length and world famous for surfing

The beach boasts rock pools at its northern and southern ends at low water. There are substantial sand dunes along its eastern boundary, which adjoins a golf course.

The beach has fine sand and is a popular surfing venue

The beach is bounded by cliffs and a river and on its on the western side and by cliffs and sand dunes on the eastern side. Cafés, shops, car park, hotels and public houses are all nearby. A seasonal lifeguard service is also provided.

This wide sandy beach is ideal for families with loads of room for sand castles and beach games. It’s also very close to the centre of Newquay so there are plenty of other things to do when the tide comes in over the sand.

Newquays biggest and most spectacular of beaches is 3 miles out of town on the coast road towards Padstow. Your first glimpse of the bay as you come over the top of the hill is one of the most memorable views in Cornwall.
